The Columbus Lady Cards golf team completed their final meet of the season this week as they competed in the UIL State Championship Meet that started on Monday, May 15 through Tuesday, May 16. The Lady Cards earned their way to the state championship meet that started on Monday, May 15 through Tuesday, May 16. The Lady Cards earned their way to the state championship meet after impressive outings at the regional meet that resulted in a second-place finish as a team. Columbus entered the state meet with hopes of continuing that momentum on as they vie to place as one of the top girls golf teams in Texas. Team results were not available by the press deadline, and a full report of their performance in Austin will be covered in next week’s edition.
